Disability Benefit Specialist
Overview

The Disability Benefit Specialist provides benefits counseling and advocacy to individuals aged eighteen (18) through fifty nine (59) with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, mental illness and/or substance use disorders, and for youth who are transitioning into the adult long-term care system.

  • Wage:        $19.49 per hour plus excellent fringe benefits

Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Gerontology or closely related Human Service field with a minimum of one year full-time experience working with a vulnerable population.  Social Work Certification preferred but not required.  Must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license, have the ability to drive an automobile, and have access to a reliable vehicle for daily use on the job.
