Highway Maintenance Worker
Overview

Burnett County is currently seeking applications for a Full-Time Highway Maintenance Worker position with the Highway Department.  This position performs skilled work of a varied nature involving the operation of one or more types of motorized equipment or performing physical labor in the repair, clearing and maintaining of State, County and local highways, roads and right-of-ways. Standard procedures are followed and work is inspected by the Highway Operations Manager or those designated by him to oversee such activities. Employees may be assigned to other duties.

  • Location:    Burnett County Highway Department
  • Hours:        Monday thru Thursday 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Wage:        $16.91/Hour

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent with a working knowledge of highway maintenance procedures and experience operating heavy equipment.  Must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and  have a commercial drivers license class A, B, C, H, and N.
